Right-Click & Mouse Locks

Photolock’s Mouse Locks feature helps protect your content by preventing common actions that users might attempt to copy or save images and other media. This includes right-clicking, dragging, and full-screen context menus.

Mouse Locks Features
1. Lock Right Click
Prevent users from right-clicking on images to access context menus that enable saving, copying, or inspecting content. This feature adds an additional layer of security to prevent unauthorized actions.

How to Enable Lock Right Click:
  • Navigate to the Mouse Locks section on the Photolock Settings page.
  • Toggle Lock Right Click to the ON position.
  • Click Save to apply changes.

Best Practice: Use this feature alongside watermarking to ensure that images retain ownership markings even if users find alternate ways to save them.

2. Lock Full Screen
Disable right-click functionality on the entire screen, protecting all elements of your store. This is especially useful for preventing users from copying content or inspecting code for vulnerabilities.

How to Enable Lock Full Screen:
  • Go to the Mouse Locks section on the Photolock Settings page.
  • Toggle Lock Full Screen to ON.
  • Save your changes.

Note: This feature is most effective for comprehensive screen-wide protection, especially when combined with other Photolock settings.

3. Lock Drag and Drop
Prevent users from dragging and dropping images, which can bypass basic right-click protections. This feature ensures that images stay protected within your store's interface and cannot be dragged to desktop folders or other applications.

How to Enable Lock Drag and Drop:
  • Open the Mouse Locks section on the Photolock Settings page.
  • Toggle Lock Drag and Drop to ON.
  • Save your settings.

Recommendation: Enabling drag-and-drop locks is essential for maintaining complete protection against unintended copying.
