Keyboard Locks

Photolock’s Keyboard Locks feature helps protect your content by disabling common keyboard shortcuts that users might use to copy, paste, or save images and text. This ensures enhanced content security on your website.

Keyboard Locks Features
1. Lock Copy and Paste
Prevent users from copying and pasting content to protect your text and media from unauthorized duplication. This feature adds a barrier for users attempting to copy valuable information or images from your site.

How to Enable Lock Copy and Paste:
  • Navigate to the Keyboard Locks section on the Protection Settings page.
  • Toggle Lock Copy and Paste to the ON position.
  • Click Save to apply the changes.

Best Practice: Pair this feature with Mouse Locks and Watermark Overlays to create a comprehensive content protection strategy.

2. Lock File Save
Restrict users from saving images directly using keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Ctrl + S or Cmd + S). This feature blocks users from easily downloading images to their local devices.

How to Enable Lock File Save:
  • Go to the Keyboard Locks section within the Protection Settings page.
  • Toggle Lock File Save to ON.
  • Save your changes.

Note: This feature is particularly effective for deterring basic attempts to download protected images directly from your website.
